The Midshipmen are 8-point favorites in college football betting NCAAF Odds at Legends.

Navy has dominated the past 10 head-to-head, going 9-1 straight up and 7-3 against the point spread. Six of the past nine meetings have gone over the total.

The Midshipmen won last year’s meeting 17-3 on Dec. 12. Navy fell just short of cashing as a 14.5-point favorite and the score stayed well under the over/under total of 41.5.

Auburn won a big game, and won bit, on Saturday, beating SEC rival Arkansas Razorbacks 65-43, cashing as a 3.5–point home favorite. The score made winners of over bettors.

Both teams are undefeated, LSU at 7-0 SU and 3-4 ATS, and Auburn at 7-0 SU and 4-3 ATS.

Texas lost its second-straight game 28-20 on the road against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. The Longhorns failed to cover the 3.5–point spread as underdogs and the score went over the over/under total.

Nebraska beat the Kansas State Wildcats 48-13 last Thursday, with the ‘Huskers covering in that game as an 11-point favorite. The 61 points took the game over the total.

After starting the season undefeated in its first three games, Texas (3-2 SU, 1-4 ATS) has lost two straight, and are out of the Top-25 NCAA College Football rankings for the first time since 2000.

Nebraska is unbeaten, winning 5 straight games and sits at 5-0 SU and 2-2 ATS.

If the Longhorns could upset the top-ranked Cornhuskers in Nebraska this weekend, they could find themselves right back in Top 25. And Texas can feed off the fact that it is 5-0 SU in the past five meetings with Nebraska.

Texas is 20-3 SU in its last 23 games overall, and 9-2 SU in its last 11 games on the road. Nebraska is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games overall, and 5-1 SU in its last 6 games at home.

The Horned Frogs are a 33.5-point favorite in College Football Odds.

Texas Christian is 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in the past seven head-to-head meetings. The teams last met on Oct. 17 last season, a 44-6 win for the Horned Frogs. TCO cashed as a 23.5-point home favorite. The score slipped over the total of 49.5.

On Friday, TCU beat the Southern Methodist Mustangs 41-24 on the road. TCU failed to cover in the match as a 17.5-point favorite, while 65 combined points moved the game over for totals bettors.

Colorado State was a 36-34 winner in their most recent outing at home against the Idaho Vandals. The Rams covered the 8-point spread as underdogs, while the total sent over.

The Horned Frogs won big in their last game – like TCU has been doing against all its opponents – beating the Baylor Bears 45-10 on Saturday. TCU covered as a 21.5-point favorite and the score went under the total.

Southern Methodist won 35-21 result against Washington State on Saturday, but failed to cover in that game as a 23.5-point favorite, while the 56 points took the game over the total.

With a 28-14 loss, Cincinnati opened its season at Fresno but rebounded in a big way in Week 2, beating Indiana State 40-7 in its home opener on Saturday. For what was expected to be a lopsided affair, there was no point spread or total posted.

Meanwhile, on the road Saturday, North Carolina State beat Central Florida 28-21. As underdogs, the Wolfpack covered the 3–point spread and the score went under the over/under total of 49.

1-1 SU and 0-1 ATS is Cincinnati. 2-0 SU, 1-0 ATS is North Carolina and they have won 2 straight games.

NCAAF Lines have the Crimson Tide as a 23-point favorite in the college football betting odds.

The teams have met once in recent years, when Alabama beat Duke 30-14 on Oct. 7, 2006. The Crimson Tide had been 27.5-point favorites in that game and the score went over the total of 40.

Alabama moved to 2-0 SU with a 24-3 win over Penn State Nittany Lions in a clash of Top 25 teams on Saturday. Alabama covered in that game as a 14.5-point favorite and the score stayed under the total.

Duke lost 54-48 against Wake Forest on Saturday, failing to cover the 5.5–point spread as underdogs. The score of 102 sailed over the over/under total.

Alabama is 2-0 SU and ATS and Duke is 1-1 SU, 0-1 ATS.

The Ducks were happy to see 2009 turn out the way it did after it got off to such a tumultuous start. After losing their season opener to Boise State, running back LeGarrette Blount threw a punch at an opposing player. The meltdown resulted in him being suspended for most of the rest of the season.

This year, it looks like Oregon will again have to fight through turbulence to end up with a respectable season. Senior quarterback Jeremiah Masoli pleaded guilty for his role in an Oregon fraternity house and has been dismissed from the team. Sophomore running back LaMichael James has been suspended for the season opener against New Mexico after pleading guilty to misdemeanor harassment charges stemming from an altercation with a woman outside his apartment. Additionally, four players have been dismissed from the team.

Coach Chip Kelly has stressed that it is a privilege to play football for Oregon and that with that privilege comes responsibility. “If you can’t do things the right way, then there’s gonna be punishment,” said Kelly.

Despite all of the off-field issues, Oregon has been a solid football program that has yielded successful results.  They would likely be a preseason top five pick with Masoli, but even without him they should still manage to be an elite college football team with 17 returning starters. Coach Kelly has shown he can adapt, as evidenced by his Ducks winning the Pac 10 for the first time since 2001 last season after Blount’s suspension.

The Buckeyes will be returning most of their offensive starters from the 2009 squad that went 11-2 en route to a win over Oregon in the Rose Bowl.  Their offense has a nice balance of power and speed.  Quarterback Terrelle Pryor led his team in both passing and rushing yards, but that will likely change with senior running back Brandon Saine finally healthy. The Buckeyes can go five deep at tailback, which will give Pryor more time to develop his passing skills.

The Buckeyes return seven starters from a unit that ranked in the top five nationally in total defense, points allowed and turnover margin.  Defensive end Cameron Heyward is an All America candidate and will anchor the defensive line.  Their top two tacklers from last season, linebackers Ross Homan and Brian Rolle, will be back for their senior season.

Aside from their conference schedule, an important game looming for Ohio State is a September 11 home matchup with Miami (FL). The two teams played in one of the most memorable championship games in college football history in 2003, with the Buckeyes edging out the Hurricanes in 31-24 in double overtime.

The key to Ohio State’s success will rest on the shoulders of Pryor.  He needs to prove he can be consistent for a full season.  If he can replicate his success from last season’s Rose Bowl (266 passing yards, 2 passing TDs, 72 rushing yards, 134.98 QB rating), Ohio State may have a chance to return to the National Championship game for the third time in five years.

The Gators have ended up in the top 3 (including two National Championships) in three out of the past four years. In order to stay among college football’s elite, Florida will have to overachieve to a large degree. They lost five juniors to the NFL and will be playing this year with four new assistant coaches and a new defensive coordinator.

In December of 2009, Meyer announced he would resign as head coach after the Gators’ bowl game. His resignation was due to health and family concerns. However, in the first six half of 2010, it appears that his health problems have been dealt with and it appears that he will indeed be the head coach in 2010.

John Brantley will have the difficult task of filling in the enormous shoes left by Tebow. The redshirt junior has spent the past few years watching Tebow and is eager to prove he can keep the Gators atop the SEC. Meyer has given him a vote of confidence and has said he is more worried about his surrounding personnel.

Florida’s defense took a big hit as well on defense. Replacements will be needed for linebackers Brandon Spikes, Ryan Stamper, and Dustin Doe; ends Carlos Dunlap and Jermaine Cunningham; cornerback Joe Haden, and Safety Major Wright.

Florida’s toughest games will come at Alabama, versus Georgia, and at home against LSU. To win these games, the key for the Gators will be whether Brantley and Meyer can provide leadership on the same level as Meyer and Tebow did. While Florida can never be counted out, this is not a year where they will waltz into a top 3 spot at the end of the season.
