Conference USA Preview: Tulane

Tulane Green Wave head coach Bob Toledo knows that Tulane is not a football program steeped in rich tradition.

Still, Toledo is a veteran coach who understands that the students, administration, and alumni are not going to be too happy with any more seasons that include only 1 conference victory.

With that disappointing season behind them, Tulane can now focus on moving forward and establishing new players at key positions so the future will see increased success.

Tulane lost its two main playmakers from last season with the graduation of RB Andre Anderson and WR Jeremy Williams, which leaves QB Ryan Griffin devoid of any proven players to get the ball to.

The offensive line only lost one starter, however, which could mean that Griffin will have more time to find open receivers who are learning on-the-fly. Expect highly-touted RB Orleans Darkwa to establish himself as the front runner for the starting job once he arrives on campus this summer.
